Preventing injuries and fatalities during the harvesting and chapping of crops for silage

DASC-117NP When used for silage, corn and sorghum crops are harvested and chopped with very powerful and dangerous machines. Nobody, even an agronomist, a field crew member or a kid, should walk within a standing crop of corn or sorghum, especially when this being harvested and chopped for silage. This occupational safety video describes the reasons why nobody should assume the operator of a forage chopper would be aware about the presence of another person walking within the standing crop during harvesting and chopping.
